We operate with a 4 week minimum, however after that there is no notice period and you will be refunded for any storage days you have paid for but won’t be using. Then once you have signed up the storage simply renews on a 4 weekly basis until you’re ready to move out!

No! Every unit needs a padlock so we see no reason why you’d need to pay extra! A brass padlock for internal units or a sliding shackle container padlock will be provided free of charge, to which you will keep the keys!

All goods are stored at your own risk. If you have home insurance or business insurance it may already be included or be able to be added onto your policy if you contact your insurance provider. 
Alternatively if you do want insurance you can get specific storage insurance from www.insurastore.com

Each unit secured with it’s own padlock to which you keep have the keys, being kept within an alarmed warehouse when staff aren’t on-site. 

Our state of the art facility located on a active industrial estate is secured with monitored CCTV with the container yard secured with perimeter fencing and a large  electronic gate.

There is no deposit for internal units, then for containers there is a fully refundable £60 deposit when you move in and storage is payable 4 weekly in advance. But other than that we make sure to keep everything as straight forward as possible with no hidden fees.

A padlock for your unit is provided and then insurance for your goods is optional and up to you. If you are wanting insurance you can get it from www.insurastore.com

Storage is a really simple process! 

Once you have booked your unit you can move in anytime during access hours (M-F, 9am-4pm).

We have a large roller shutter to enable you to get your items as close to your unit as possible and then a range of trolleys to enable you to wheel the goods into your unit.

If you have outgrown your storage unit or need to downsize we can facilitate you changing unit size anytime!

Containers provide a really convenient storage solution as you can drive right up to the doors of the unit meaning there’s no concern about trying to carry large and heavy objects down corridors or up stairs! 
Containers are accessible from 7 days a week from 7am – 8pm but in emergencies extended access can be arranged.

You get 2 keys to your storage unit, if you want to provide someone access to your unit it is simply a case of giving them the keys and letting them know where it is!

Internal storage units are accessible during our staffed office hours of 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, whilst storage containers are nominally accessible 7am to 8pm 7 days a week, this can easily be made 24/7 if required. 

We do not accept cash, and our payment system could not be easier or more stress free. You simply authorise Self Store Newcastle’s standing monthly payments with your bank via their preferred authorisation system (normally either text or an app) and your standard 4 weekly payment will be processed much the same as a direct debit. 

You simply empty out the storage unit, then drop off the keys and you’re storage contract will be ended, getting your £60 deposit back and a refund for any storage days you’ve paid for but won’t be using.
